“Another soothsayer predicting what Trump will do. The American people have spoken and they are not sad.”
Well this is what he has just done. Appointed Fox News host as Defence secretary 🙄 - @Lotus Eater
I thought you were joking

It seems the man has some military experience in his time as part of the forces that invaded Iraq and Afghanistan, but his main qualification seems to be as a yes man for Trump.
Will US forces be exiting Germany soon?
It's funny, two guys from the UK one from Indonesia and another one from down under are worried about us Yanks because we elected Trump for a second time.
The Citizens elected President Trump again. It has to be the greatest comeback since they were not consecutive terms. This is only the second time in our history.
Funny, the American people didn't fair badly the first time and these four people are worried about us.
@Fred
Bob gets his nightly news fix from Fox along with his cup of cocoa. Bless

“American people spoke loudly on November 5 and it is good to know that the democracy in our Republic is functioning well.”
Come on Dan. I’m not going to let you get away with that drivel.
Do you really believe that if your ‘punt’ Mr T had lost that the veracity of that statement would stand up?🙄 - @Lotus Eater
Sorry sir but facts are facts. Trump won, too bad for you. If Trump had lost, I would personally have been very concerned about our Constitutional rights and apparently, so was most of the VOTERS. It felt so great for wife and me to vote early in swing state NC which Trump subsequently won...to think we did our small part and yeah, that's the democracy within our Republuc in action. If this is drivel, we'll, it's.my kind of drivel lol. Trump won. 👍

The wokes are worried about the secretary of defense appointee, I would have been worried about Harris being the Commander and Chief.
There are 900 Generals in the service, twice as many in WW2. Woke heads (generals) are going to roll.

Trump will be in command of the largest military in the world. He's volatile at best, so that's a significant interest to the world.
@Fred

Trump doesn't want war like the US liberals do. It is ironic that your statement is very fitting to senile DNC puppet joe biden, not Trump. It is the reverse of what you claim. You will not believe that, by electing Trump, the world may have just dodged a thermonuclear russia-ukraine bullet.
Fred wrong again. . . Trump will be in command of the largest military in the world. He's volatile at best, so that's a significant interest to the world.

Here we are in a country known for beautiful beaches and accommodating attractive women, and some of you want to discuss hypothetical scenarios that if they do happen probably won’t affect you anyway,
Did your life suddenly change on November 6?
Get a life and move on!
Go to the Beach
Find an attractive partner
Get Drunk
Enjoy what time we have left, no one is guaranteed a tomorrow
but just to piss off a few of you. I am very happy with the results

Swapping diseases whilst drunk with an easy to bed dusky Asian women is nice (if you don't mind your sausage going various shades of green before it withers and falls off), but the Philippines is bang in the middle of the US and its attempts to stifle capitalist China.
The larger the military presence, the larger the bombs that will disrupt your visits to the clap clinic if either side should have a nut that thinks he can win a war heading their government.
Your sausage, now with the appearance of dwarf banana you left out when you went on holiday, will have even less hope of recovery if that president should start a conflict in order to divert attention from the mess he creates in his home country.
That goes more if you contract a wide range of 'social' diseases and/or have an idiot in charge of the largest military in the world in terms of the money wasted on it.

Sausage for brains Fred?
Sausage for brains Fred? - @Enzyte Bob
Ah, a lack of imagination. How terribly disappointing.
I was looking forward to having sausages with my omelette for breakfast here at my hotel in Da Nang but decided to pass. Thanks guys.😒
I will be in the Philippines from next week until January. For my first breakfast there, I'll skip the sausage and have the eggs instead.
Maybe I'll skip sausages altogether.

Skip the bananas as well.

How are you liking Da Nang with or without sausages?
@Lotus Eater How are you liking Da Nang with or without sausages? - @Cherryann01
A big thank you Cherryann for the recommendation. The beach road reminds me of Sea Point in Cape Town where I lived in a previous life. Delicious local cuisine & meticulous intuitive service from the charming Vietnamese people. Moving down to Hoi An shortly.
By the way I mentioned your name to the masseuse you recommended to me who dropped you off at your hotel on the scooter. This time I invited her up to my hotel room for coffee..
His last term saw him trying to destroy the very democracy his fans rant on about protecting. america - @Fred
Yes that's perhaps the major concern. What Trump does to America, and the American people.
World countries will take care of themselves. They will adapt around Trump, and grow stronger.
But, what happens to Americans? As you say Fred, their beloved democracy may be in danger.
America may well become a Trump oligarchy with a small group of insiders controlling America?
Whatever let's just hope the coming political changes within America are reversible, not one-way.
@PalawOne
Regarding this un-enlightened post by palawan about the man 75 million Americans just voted in as their President in a landslide election, I guess, as usual, I cannot understand why they consistently attack the person and never address the issues. These people are not objective Their lives are run by emotion, not fact. As the lives of Americans slowly begin to improve again and as people like me once again feel good about being an American, there is only one descriptor that defines palawone' and Fred's anti-trump comments: 3 words, Trump Derangement Syndrome or "TDS" for short.
His last term saw him trying to destroy the very democracy his fans rant on about protecting. america - @Fred
It still smells, tastes and appears to be a democracy.
Quiz: What makes it a democracy?
@Morgacj200424
I wonder what the average IQ is of a Trump supporter?
No need for you to answer that one Morgac - @Lotus Eater
Just look at Enzyte Bob and his lackey and guess the answer.
Here's the real mess - If Trump taxes do mess up the US economy, it's the people of America who suffer. Sadly for them, the majority will drop blame on whichever political party they dislike rather than actually listen to anyone who knows.
The level of stupidity is stunning. - @Fred
And I think it's about time that they really suffer. Elections and bad decisions have consequences.

73 million voters for Trump disagree with your negative outlook.
How can you come to such conclusions? Why didn't Trump do this in his first four years of being President?

Let's just say Bob that Vietnamese coffee is delicious and can be enjoyed anywhere . Remember the TV Martini commercial from the 1970's " Anytime, anyplace, anywhere."

I would venture to guess that the IQ of trump sopporter Elon Musk soars well above that of commwnters @phillipperv and @lotus dickwad whatever.

Surely even you Dan can figure out that Elon Musk has skin in the game. It's called TESLA. The Chinese economy is in a mess and the US economy was growing even before Mr T came to power. The strength of the US market coupled with 100% tariffs on Chinese EV's. " yeah we'll take some of that " Both Mr T & EM have big mouths. Only one has a high IQ and that person is an opportunist.

Starting to tomorrow if Chinese EV's were free, what sense does it make if there are no charging stations? Millions upon millions would have to use charging stations as they do not own homes.
Frankly many would not own a Chinese EV until they are convinced they are a quality vehicle, there is adequate infrastructure for charging and dealerships for maintenance.

Starting to tomorrow if Chinese EV's were free, what sense does it make if there are no charging stations? - @Enzyte Bob
Capitalism would sort out the problem.
I suspect true capitalists would build charging stations in order to exploit a gap in the market.
Crap capitalists would ban the cars because the useless twits can't beat the competition from Capitalist China.
Also, the roads would be far quieter, and local air pollution in cities would disappear.
Not sure how EV's came into this Bob but it's interesting you say no quick charging infrastructure where? The US? Here where I live there are 2 quick charging stations in my area in La Union and from what I have read plenty of installations currently being installed but you will pay for the service and my research reveals 25 pesos per Kwh for a charge over the going rate of 12.5 from the power company, we are in the province and not a major city.
We are in a different situation that we have excess power from solar both in collection and battery storage so can recharge an EV through the day or overnight with a simple plug into our system.
The problem remains the outlay for an EV v internal combustion technology and the math doesn't add up especially if you do limited annual milage.
P 2M for a traditional set of wheels or P 4M for a hypothetical feel good experience, as said the math is pretty simple.
My comments are not political and simply common sense. Perhaps a little like stacking the fridge and freezer.
Cheers, Steve.

My remarks were in response to China EV's being built in Mexico and elsewhere. In the US, Biden has suggested raising the tariff from 25% to 100%.
The Biden administration set aside 7.5 Billion dollars for charging stations and in two years only 8 have been built. It's great that you have a house where you can charge your car. But many don't have homes to recharge their vehicles and will have to use charging stations.
Also the weather plays a big part, places with seasonal changes and very cold weather have caused charging problems. In cold weather the driving range drops 25% and it takes longer to charge an EV in the cold weather. In cold weather people have waited hours to charge their EV's.
Currently EV manufacturers have a 8 year 100,000 guarantee on the batteries. So I expect the Ev's will depreciation will happen much quicker and much more before the 8 year or 100,000. Will anyone want to buy a used 5 year old EV with 70,000 miles?
I drove my Toyota Camry 300,000 before a purchased a Lexus. I had 160,000 miles on my Lexus and sold it before moving to the Philippines.

Yes, thank you Steve, I guess when they made statements regarding the IQ of Trump supporters, that one kind of got to me because I know from some of their writing styles that their IQs probably fall into the 85-90 range whereas a famous Trump supporter, Elon Musk, probably falls into the genius category. But all of that is speculation and opinion. And for sure, sarcasm is a lower form of wit, if wit is one's intent which for me was not necessarily the case. Instead, when dealing with TDS, higher forms of communication seem to go over their heads. I do appreciate you, as a respected member of this community, moderating this discussion when things may seem to get out of hand, in this and perhaps other threads.

That just proves the US is full of poor quality capitalists.
Good capitalists see an angle and exploit it.
It should also be noted, a person's IQ has nothing to do with their personality AND they can still be epically wrong on a wide variety of subjects.
