Dear Sir/Madam

I hope this message finds you well.

My name is Augustine Kwame Asiedu, and I am a diploma-registered mental health nurse from Ghana with eight years of professional experience. I am currently seeking assistance and guidance in my efforts to relocate and practice nursing in the Dominican Republic.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to any support or advice you may be able to provide.

Sincerely,

Augustine Kwame Asiedu

It will be almost impossible to do this.  The process is expensive and tedious all to get a job making maybe US400 a month. I don't recommend it.

Alright,

Thank you.

I would like to relocate. Could you please provide me with some advice?

Read through all the pinned posts about residency and search the forum for health care and nursing topics.

As Planner said, finding a job here would be challenging. For one thing, you would need a work visa from your employer. To get that, you would need to have all your credentials accepted by the Dominican authorities. You would also need to be fluent in Spanish. All this would make you the equivalent of $400/month.

Kindly help me. I am from Ghana and I want to relocate to the Dominican Republic and work in any job available

I guess the poster does not yet understand the futility of what they are asking.  The DR is not a place to come and work .

Dear Sir,

I would like to express my strong disagreement with the assertion that the Dominican Republic is not a suitable location for employment opportunities. My husband, a successful entrepreneur at the age of 49, relocated from the United States in search of work, and we have both found that the Dominican Republic has greatly influenced our lives and those of our children. As a young mother of nineteen with twin children, I have experienced considerable support and growth in this environment.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Lily Lopez

I'm glad it's worked out well for you and your husband. Starting a business here can be lucrative for an entrepreneur with the means and ability.

The point being made is that there are considerable hoops to jump through to receive a work visa or residency here and work legally. Even if you are able to get a cedula and find a job, the pay here is low.

The replies about the futility of a job search here are specific to working for someone else.  Not starting your own business.  If the person asking the question were a brain surgeon , the answers would be the same.  Do not come here and try to do that.  The pay in the medical field here is simply not worth it.
