Misdemeanor charges

Hi.. in Paraguay a misdemeanor will ruin your chances for Permanent Residency.  Here in Uruguay, probably not.

  Once you have received your cédula you should be fine.  They have 4 years to make a decision, and if no decision is made you automatically get Permanent Residency.

   So… if you are in the country, bringing in foreign currency, and staying out of trouble, Uruguay will default to kindness…
