F card processing time

Post new topic

Hello everyone,

could everyone who recently have been issued an F card based on Annex19ter put down the timeline i.e. how long did it take to approve your F card? What was the application date?

I look forward to your replies

Hi,

Annex 19ter is not a basis for the application; it is simply a document confirming that your application has been received. The basis for an F card application is either marriage or legal cohabitation.

As for the timeline, based on my experience, the experiences of many people I know personally, and years of following this forum, the processing time is always six months. The Immigration Office (DVZ) always provides a decision on the very last day of the six-month period, regardless of the quality or completeness of your dossier. Even if a document is missing, they will still issue a rejection only at the very last moment, rather than addressing the issue sooner.

In some rare cases, the response may be delayed even beyond six months, but this is uncommon. DVZ is, unfortunately, not a user-friendly organization. I have never heard of an F card application being approved even a day earlier than the six-month deadline.

Therefore, you should count exactly six months from the date of your application. If you live in a densely populated city, I recommend booking an appointment for that day in advance, as it can often be difficult to take a slot at short notice.
