Getting a visa to go from Viet to US

Please comment on the difficult /easy nature of a Viet woman obtaining a visa to travel to US with American male and their baby. The baby has an American passpor already. Advice? Which kind to apply for?

Simple. Get married and file for CR1 visa to move to the US. That is basically the only option. It will cost around three thousand dollars and will take around 18 months.

You will be denied a tourist visa. That would be a complete waste of a couple hundred dollars.
