Bahrain Work Permit Expired - Inactive CR violation

Post new topic

Faisal Habib

Hello,

My Bahrain work permit expired on 28/11/2024 and I am unable to exit to Saudi where I have a valid iqama and job.

I am unable to cancel the work permit from the LMRA website as well because there is an inactive violation on the CR.

The NPRA has told me they can renew it only after the 30 days grace period, so I will have to wait till 28/12/2024 to apply for reextension.

I am registered as an employee under the CR not an investor. It does not make sense to hold me captive here, it is not my fault that the violations were there, it is the CR owners fault.

Please advise me my options on exiting and going back to Saudi before 28/12/2024.

XTang

Have you tried asking them if you can pay fines related to overstay and then leave?

They are not holding you for CR, it is the overstay fines.
