For us it's the multinational multicultural community we now live in at close quarters and we learn a lot from a community made up of Cypriots, Cretans, Germans, Ukrainians, Russians, Khazaks, Bulgarians, Romanians, Polish, Moldovans, Georgians,  South Africans, Syrians, Egyptians, Israelis, Bangladeshis, Thais, Chinese, Philipinos ..yes ...even in Peyia known as little Britain by many...

Most are just normal hard working people doing their best to make a life here....and get on well with each other yes there are cultural and social differences but hey it goes with the territory .   it gives us hope that one day we can put those difference behind us and just get along together...

With that I wish you all a Happy and Prosperous New year for 2025. Take care stay safe and healthy..

Best wishes y'all

I have been semi retired here in Phnom Penh for over 10 years, in that time I have seen a lot of progress by the king hun Sen and the government, in transport, waste management & collection, road signs and lights, the construction of the new city airport soon to be ready mid 2025, also the start of the new bridge, and a ring road around Phnom Penh to cut the gridlocks of people just wanting to get to the other side, a smooth transition of Hun manet into the position of prime minister, and the remaining of Hun Sen in the background to give advise if required, the expert way the government dealt with the COVID virus, with a positive set of goals to contain the virus and limit its affect to the population of Cambodia, of which I was one for over 2 years, and the finachiel cost, this efficient way was mostly ignored by the west, which in turn failed miserably in containing or dealing with the COVID virus, and Cambodia came through it all maintaining inflation at least, and maintained a steady climb from all the problems of the COVID crisis, so 2024 was a good achievement for Cambodia when you look at the rest of the world, And 2025 tourism gaining ground costs leveling good GDP forecasts it looks a good 2025 for expats and Cambodians as well, so good health wealth and happiness for 2025.

Hi i am Gill

CarersCount

Living in a small town in Andalucia it’s the little things that make up our daily lives…

like Always being able to have a good cup of coffee… around €1.20. Leisurely Menú del Dia lunch at around €12 .. & of course there is the spectacular beauty of this unique badlands mountainous environment. Driving is a real pleasure, spectacular views & minimal traffic, though it has of course grown significantly over last few years..

Living alone, feeling safe is a huge contributor to overall wellbeing.

I crave the diversity of people often, having lived in many parts of the world, but would I trade it? Grateful to be here.
