Albanian letter of invitation (for travel to Albania)

After traveling, and now living, in Albania for some years, there are some questions that are frequently asked. I'll try to use my experience to answer some, about finding a job or getting the letter of invitation.

First the letter.

Entry to Albania is easier than the EU and the procedure relatively simple and quick. Nationals of the European Union, most of the Americas (including USA) and Commonwealth countries, Israel, China, Brazil, Argentina and many others do not need a visa or letter of invitation.

For tourists from UAE, India, Qatar, Pakistan, and some parts of Africa the visa is easy to acquire if you have the correct documents, proof of sufficient funds and the letter of invitation.

The letter of invitation is essential in these cases and is connected to your accommodation. It cannot be issued separately. The hotel or tour operator would send this letter to you and your local embassy when you apply for the evisa.

The issuer of the letter acts as a sort of guarantor for the trip, that the travelers have a place to stay and sufficient funds (i.e., that is is paid for). So if you are unwilling or unable to pay for your room and flight in advance you would not receive the letter or visa.

Hope that helps some travelers.
