Does application goes to work permit office first? Do they have 15 days timeline to consider application admissible or request any other document? In my case its been 19 days but I have not received any response from employer or office?
@rosieallison95
I am waiting for my Annex 46 , my friends already got there approvals even My application date is before there application date 🥹🥹.

@businessqueries273
I dont think they have precisely 15 days to update the status, in my case it took almost 3 weeks to change from newly submitted to admissible and Positive work permit (on the same day)
Update: RP received yesterday.
Region: Wallonie
Privacy Notice Email: 16/12/2024
WP: Around 20/1/2025
RP: 10/2/2025
@Unknown fan
Ok, thank you for your reply, Which region was yours, well mine is Flanders. If status changes on the portal to admissible, mail should be sent automatically, I suppose? Is that what happens? I do not want to ask employer about change in status.
@Mohanned Ahmed
Congratulations. That is a very good response from their side keeping in mind christmas holidays in between. I hope Flanders region can do something similar.
@businessqueries273
Mine is also Flanders, I think the employer gets probably notified only when the work permit/annex 46 are issued.
@Unknown fan
Please mention your timeline, it would be good to know. In which field is your profile?
@businessqueries273
its mentioned already in the first page
Application date : 13/11
WP: 02/12
RP: still waiting
I summarized the processing time posted recently.
Significant delays could be seen on the cases across years.
Besides holiday delay, control on the numbers of immigrants seems to be also reasons.

@YSF_Nobu
I never thought of the quota system to regulate the numbers of immigrants but it can be one of the reasons indeed, and maybe they prioritize certain fields/professions over others, regardless on when they applied or received their work permit. I am in engineering for example and i think its not prioritized.
@Unknown fan
Literally now I am losing my cool 😐. 83 days already for my application. My all knowns got there RP. I am the only one who is waiting.🤯
@Ritik Panwar
91 days for me
if they have the same job as yours and they got it already so maybe its really random but try calling them. I called them from abroad before and they answered.
@Unknown fan
I think engineering and ICT are priority (there's the list of needed fields
on the ministry of economy's website I think). I don't think work permits for these ever get refused. And if you already have your work permit, the RP must be granted, might even be borderline illegal for them to refuse it.
My first single permit RP took 4 months btw back in 2019, but I was already a student resident there so I could already start working after getting the WP after 2 months.
For the guys with more of 3 months of delays, you can try contacting the federal mediator and get an answer asap.
Sometimes your application is just forgotten within the Jira tickets as the sorting is sometimes pushed down and randomised as new applications come in.
Can someone give contact email and contact number of work permit office in Flanders region, I want to check my application's admissibility.
Is it good to ask status from them directly rather than asking employer?
@Ritik Panwar
Congratulations!
My application was only few days before yours.
Did you take any actions to accelerate the process?
@YSF_Nobu
Please mail them for your application status I did mail on 10/02/2025 and got approval on 12/02/2025, but my employer informed me today.
@Ritik Panwar
Thank you for your advice.
I sent them email yesterday and got my Annex 46 immediately.
What surprised me is that they really postpone people’s Annex 46 even though files have been processed obviously.
I don’t understand why...
Region Brussels
Application date (renewal): 16 Oct 2024
Admissible: 24 Dec 2024
WP/PR: still waiting - @jane92873
WP & PR: 12 Feb 2025
@YSF_Nobu
Last year my annex46 was already issued in June (i learned it- after numerous calls because i had to work) however i received it officially in September.
@maharaji1984
That's why it's better to keep emailing them, maybe every 2 weeks.
I think our application just get buried within Jira due to bad sorting.
Does anyone had application under highly skilled category in engineering field Flanders region? What is the timeline in that case?
@businessqueries273
its mentioned already in the first page
Application date : 13/11
WP: 02/12
RP: still waiting- @Unknown fan
RP: 18/02
@Unknown fan
Congratulations, Finally after so long. Was your application in highly skilled category?
@businessqueries273
What's your timeline?
@mjarmak
My application was applied on 15 January, still waiting for WP and RP. Region - Flanders
it's been now a month and a week and I haven't received any updates, I tried to make calls and they tell me that they don't have any updates for me at the moment, is it normal?
@shadow98
Was it renewal or new application? My renewal was submitted on 11th feb. I called them today they said will get approval in start of april.
When applying for my long-stay visa, I indicated that my first intended arrival date would be the 10th of March. Does the from date on the visa stamp on my passport be the same as the first intended date, or would it be earlier than that? I want to join the batch of employees starting on the 3rd of next March and I didn't know that this batch will begin on the 3rd of March hence the confusion that happened.
@Mohanned Ahmed
You can call the embassy and ask. Can even try to ask them to change the entry date of it's indeed the date of the start of validity.
@mjarmak
I've sent an email to the embassy and hope they can do so. I don't know if they set the start date the same as the Visa D issuance time or is it the same as the arrival date I've indicated in the form, so that's why I was asking if someone has encountered the same situation. BTW, if you applied before for a Visa D what was your "From" Date on the visa stamp?
@Mohanned Ahmed
Last time I got a d visa was when I was a student 8 years ago. The start of validity date was the same day they've stamped it because classes were almost starting.
I suggest you also call the embassy to make sure they read the email asap before stamping. But I think they'd just set the start date as the date they stamp, because 1 week is really not a problem since you're welcomed in the country now.
@SilverGun
mine is a renewal but from one region to another one, I'm in Wallonie, and my new employer is in Brussels, could you please share with us the phone number you called?
Thanks you very much in advance
Hello Guys,
I could get a job position in Belgium and the company submitted a single permit request for me in December 2024 (recieveing the no-reply email with subject of single permit-privacy notice). However, after two months, they told to the my employer that the salary is not sufficient and it should be increased to have the minimum wage based on the minimum salary for 2025. After, re-submitting a new request by the company for my single permit, again I received the no-reply email. It means that the procedure have started from the beginning and I should wait again for a long time?
