One visa agent I know posted this one hour ago:

We are closed for the Tet holiday starting today. If you need to enter the country urgently but don’t have a visa yet, Visa on Arrival is available until Tuesday, 28/01/2025. After that, all visa services will be completely closed until 02/02/2025.

I'm sure any trustworthy visa agent can do this.

Visa on Arrival is almost always limited to 4 weeks or less.

Good info, as always, from your agency contacts.

I'm curious though.

Will airlines permit boarding if the passenger doesn't hold any form of visa? Perhaps the airline will require a passenger not holding a visa to sign an agreement to indemnify the airline for the cost of the passenger's return flight if denied a VOA?

Visa On Arrival is done in the same manner as before COVID:

when the agent gets approval from immigration they email a copy of that approval letter to the customer.

The approval letter is shown to airline personnel in order to board their flight and again is submitted at the Visa on arrival desk in the airport here in Vietnam.
