Hi All,

Can someone recommend a place in Punta Cana where we can get our medical examination for residency?

Thanks!

Do you mean after you submit the paperwork?

When applying for residency, a medical examination is a required step in the process. The doctor's appointment is primarily for a health check to ensure that the applicant does not have any contagious diseases or conditions that could pose a public health risk.

We just went to the place our lawyer told us to go.  Sorry, don't remember the name.

Some notes you might find useful:

>> 95% probability you'll need an interpreter, unless you are fluent in Espanol.  Detailed questions are asked, and you must give detailed answers.

>> The staff was kind, helpful and thoughtful.  Very competent.

>> ensure you have or get an appointment.  We had only a little waiting after arriving for our appointment.

>> take some reading material. If a phone, ensure fully charged and perhaps carry a spare charger.

>> wear comfortable clothing with short sleeves -- they'll  be taking blood.

>> I wish I had also taken a light aweater and a ball capwith me -- the natives like their air conditioning COLD.  Your Mileage May Vary (YMMV) depending on how cold you like air conditioning and how cold the staff cranks it down.  Plan ahead to match your own sensibilities.
