laptop keyboard layout

Post new topic

Hi, I am looking to buy  either an Acer or Asus laptop form [link under review]. A couple are advertised as having "Spanish keyboard.". Being extremely thick, would the keyboard layout for the UK laptop be different to those manufactered for Spain.  TIA

Google is more than a friend. it spies on your every word like a stalker.

But it has a great search engine

I use duckduckgo to search cos it doesnt spy, but anyway had I found the answer to my question by search engine I would not be asking on here. I have always received very helpful relies in the past.

Yes, they are different, don't mind Fred. Most countries have a different keyboard layout, because of different acents and letters. Even US and UK keyboards are different.

Fred

My link has a picture of the keyboard layout.

I fail to see how that isn't helpful.

Hi, I ignored him very quickly, so easy to do.

Many thanks for your advice, I was just about to order so you have saved me the trouble of sending it back. Much appreciated.

Yes, they do, as you will see in the link I posted that has a picture of the Spanish keyboard layout.

It took literally seconds to find using Google.

You can of cause buy a Spanish computer, and then buy a separate UK keyboard that pugs in or via Bluetooth.

On the other hand using a new layout, you will learn quite quickly. If you plan to be living in Spain permanently you will be needing the different accents for Spanish words.

@Fred

Ah bless, who is a clever little boy then.

@SimCityAT

Indeed a good idea but am at that age when change is not good. I shall stick with the UK layout, but your suggestion is much appreciated

Not you, apparently

I took what you could have found yourself with ease, then spoon-fed it to you.

@Fred

Oh dear, you again.

I simple answer yes or no would have done. The question about Google wasn't brought up.

It was a question anyone with Google on their phone could, and did, answer in seconds.

However, nobody bothered looking at the link.

letmespain

Ah there, there, I am sure someone will look at one of your links at some time
