A private botanical garden in Cairo

Acaciaraddiana

Hello everyone,

Glad to be here with all of you. I am an Egyptian naturalist in my late fifties. I have been roaming the wild areas in Egypt since my teens and I fell in love with all that is wild and natural in our country especially in our vast deserts. I produced two books about the wildlife and nature of Egypt, and I purchased a farm mainly to translate the love I have for desert plants into a reality. I collected different seeds over 30 years, and I enjoyed watching the growth of these awesome yet neglected NATIVE plants.

I have different species of different ages in my farm (some trees are over 20 years old while others are less than a year), and it is an ongoing process still since such mixed farms have dynamic system. We also have some mango trees, olive (oil producing) trees, and some well known exotic widespread species. I have adopted the organic methods since 1998 and 3 years ago I decided to evolve to the regenerative practices.

If you like what you read so far and would like to spend a few hours in a farm where you learn very valuable information about native plants, you can send me an email at *** and we can see what we can arrange for you Inshaa Allah.

All the best
