Working in Bratislava but considering living in Austria?

BPO

Hi. I have a job offer to work in Bratislava, but my family is considering renting a house just across the border in Austria. Is this possible? If so, from which country do I need the visa? Thank you!

@SimCityAt Thank you so much. The article is very helpful. So it looks like we would pay income tax in Slovakia, and all other taxes in Austria. We would probably also get medical care in Austria. My remaining question is whether or not we can get a visa in Austria since we would be third-country nationals, moving from the U.S. Does Austria grant visas to third-country residents who live in Austria but work in Bratislava? I couldn't find anything about it on their website. I've contacted the U.S. Embassy in both Austria and Slovakia, but have not heard back yet. Thank you!
