Opening a bank account in Qatar

Post new topic

Julien

Hi all,

is it difficult for expats to open a bank account in Qatar ?

Which documents are required to open a bank account in Qatar ?

How long does it take to open it ?

Is there any restriction for expats regarding the services (loans for instance)  ?

Which bank would you recommend ?

Thanks in advance for your participation,

Julien

I don't think it is that difficult and if memory serves me I think you need your passport, ID card, and a letter from your employer.
I believe you need to be employed 3 months before you can get a loan (past the "trial" phase). QNB seems to be a popular bank (lot's of ATMs). Hope that helps
