Hi Prajeela,

Greetings and welcome on Expat.com!

Honestly, you still sound somewhat rude. Nevertheless, welcome!

Would you be more specific in terms of your fied of expertise or current work experience - that can help you get finer responses.

Anyway, wish you the best in your endeavours!

Greetings

I am an accountant with a very strong systems aptitude.  A long time ago, I worked in Papua New Guinea.  Initially as an employee of Steamships Trading Company, later with my own company selling me as a freelance.  Life was good there until the background situation became disadvantageous for the family and we went home to the UK.

Ever since then I have yearned to go back overseas to work, but it has never happened.  Now, my kids are all fledged and my wife and I have made an amicable separation, so I am free to look at the idea again.

Mauritius looks like the sort of place where I might fit in - I'm more for the outdoors than the concrete jungle and I have been described as "versatile", which I guess may come in handy.  I also found the Mauritians I have met in England to be very pleasant.

Once again, I am offering my services through my own limited company, so I wonder if there would be any mileage in offering my services through that in Mauritius and whether I would need a work permit to do so.  This would at least allow me to properly asses Mauritius and vice versa before becoming "permanent".

If you want to know more about me, have a look at my profile on uk.linkedin.com/in/gawood, but don't be put off by the amount of public sector thereon - versatile, remember.

Any comments welcome and thanks for reading so far.
