Having previously reported on some misery here in the forum, I now fall upon bended knees at  your mercy.

I'm starting a job in KL next month. The location is Taman Len Seng. The closest rail access is Bandar Tasik Selatan, but I would need to take a 10 - 30 min bus shuttle from there to work (my co-workers don't recommend it!). Basically, I'd like some advice on which area to live in.

I'm female, late 20's, still enjoy a party at the weekends (but more alternative than mainstream places...).

Looking to share as I'd like to keep my costs right down. My accommodation allowance is 1000Rm per month but I'd like to find somewhere much cheaper. Is that realistic?

I'm pretty confident person, I don't want to live in a Western style compund (can't afford to either!). Just looking for an area thats fun for youngun's. Music, evening entertainment etc.

My work is on Jalan Menara Gading, I know there's a bus that goes from a 10 min walk away but can't remember the name! I'd love to live somewhere that was easy to get to work (don't mind a bit of distance), but closer to the action for socialising.

Any advice (so long as its polite!) is greatly appreciated.
