DON THAP province, Malaria advice

I am going to Dong Thap province and I wonder if there is any evidence of Malaria in that general area? Jack

I wouldn't worry to much about it, there aren't any cases of Malaria in VN. Now on the the other hand be very aware of Dengue Fever, sadly there is not medication for it, but just make sure you apply plenty of repellant.

Thanks for your speedy reply. Repellant is a problem for me because I sweat a lot and it just washes away. Welcome any thoughts about this problem. Jack

Cheers for the update Budman, not seen that article before.

that said to Jack still get some repellant its worth applying little and often and\or keep covered up (long sleeves\trousers) cos we all do that in the tropical heat don't we!! lol

I'm still in the process of recovering from Dengue fever its pretty nasty stuff and despite the fact I sweat a lot I still apply repellant when I remember...
