I moved here about 6 months ago because my brother was working in Ho Chi Minh City and I'd just finished uni. Thought I'd come over here, pay off my humungous student loan and travel a bit! Just a pity there are so few other South Africans in Vietnam (less than 100 I think).

Do you take vietnamese courses? Must be quite difficult to understand the language, isn't it?

I'm planning on taking some VN courses, the language is really difficult as it's tonal and I'm quite tone deaf! I see you speak Spanish, French and English - how long did it take to learn the two additional languages? You're in Paris now, where are you originally from?

Well as I studied english and spanish at school I hasn't been that difficult to communicate. Let's say I felt comfortable in both languages after one year spent in the country.

Well I am actually from the south of France, I just came back in my home country after a few years spent abroad. And I hope to move again asap! this time I'd like to live outside Europe

What a wonderful place to come from - they say the south of France is just like my hometown in South Africa (Stellenbosch, just outside Cape Town) - friendly people,   and a winegrowing region with a wonderful Mediterranean climate. Good luck on moving again soon, you should come to Vietnam - so much French influence here and wonderful old colonial French architecture as well - and the Vietnamese are really friendly too (not to mention the beautiful women and great food).
