Considering a move from Tenerife. Nervous but excited - any pointers?

Hi all

Well, I am from the UK but I have lived in Tenerife, Canary Islands for 7 years.
I have been a self employed dog groomer for 13 years and love it and would love to work in that field in Canada.
I also did 2 and a half years Veterinary Nursing.

My husband is a boat builder and is hoping to move forward with a potential job offer in Gibsons, near Vancouver.

I would love to find a job working in the animal field, not limited to just grooming, I would love to branch out if the chance was there. Tenerife is lovely but quite limited on what jobs you can do with "non humans".

Any replies much welcomed, this is a huge thing for me as I have classed myself as almost Canarian for the best part of 8 years now but Canada could be a dream come true for us.
Thank you

Christine
