I work as a freelance photographer myself (but on the other side of the country: Dhahran). When I get time on the weekends, I love traveling so I do tend to collect a bunch of stories about Saudi. I blog about most of them (http://blog.nidalm.com)

Some of the more interesting experiences (not all of these are on my blog). I can elaborate If you'd like!

* Bedouin man, goes out of his way to help us hikers in the middle of the desert.
* The religious police raiding a concert I was the official photographer for (on my blog).
* Saudi police 'arresting' me for not having my Iqama in my car and taking me to jail. While there, an officer comes over and starts showing me explicit videos on his cellphone (!!)

Theres probably a lot more that come to mind... living in Saudi is 'interesting' to say the least
