How often do you volunteer?!

Volunteering strikingly reflects the doer’s pure self. It happens without much thinking and sometimes without any thinking. This prompt assistance extracts what dwells in the individual’s subconscious. If this subconscious is full with love and respect, the individual will acquiesce and hence generate pleasant actions. If that person counted to ten before helping; that should not be called volunteering. An evident sign for volunteering is leaving without waiting to hear the “thank you” reply. Likewise, volunteers should not wait for any kind of reward; the quick shy smile on the person’s (being helped) face is quite quite adequate.

hi,
so, i am the one who first comment on your blog..

Actually, i like to volunteer myself in helping others.
i already do it in my life. i offer my help and what i have to help them. i do it without knowing that i already sacrifice myself for them. but i don't mind it, as long as i did a good job to others its fine with me.

i am helpful people especially to the needy ones.
my heart soften when someone shares a problem with me. at the end of the sharing, i offer him/her my help even if i am nothing but i don't know i can find way in order to help that person.
i already done this many times in my life.

the problem that i experienced in helping others was that i helped other person in solving problem but when i am in need i don't have a solutions.

Yes, most of us don`t do volunteer work, and I think I know why.

Consistency!!!!!!!

Like anything in your life ,can`t be easy giving up a Mc Donalds meal or an hour sitting in front of T.V.
Volenteer work needs, time and energy,we are not prepared to give up our time to stuff ''that can`t be seen ''.

Human I think,but still wrong.

You got me thinking about it now,

guilt ..bad thing ain`t it

Thanks, Larry, for sharing your experiences on volunteering! It appears you're a very kind person as you volunteer for receiving nothing in return!

Thanks for pointing out the causes behind "humans'" unwillingness to volunteer. The point of "consistency" is really awesome as most people are eager to volunteer but they're afraid if they do it once they will be called for each time. To me, this deforms the pure spirit of volunteering as it should be generated from within the person not to simply satisfy others or to "appear good" in front of them!
