Hiii all...
Im new in here so just first will introduce myself...
So my name is Ania.. im from Poland ... for 5 years living in Ireland... and in few months I planning to move to Mauritius to my boyfriend.
I was reading online about things which I have to do before I will go there... but different forums are saying different things...
So as far as I know I can stay in Mauritius for 180 days in a year without visa, is that right? Cuz some of them they say its only 90 days... And to go there do I really need a return ticket or is there any way to tell them that we are not sure when we are coming back so we gonna purchase the ticket later?
The other thing is... do they check the bank statements when u entering the country?
Would really appreciate any help..

You will be given a 3 months tourism visa ( some people are being given only 2 months in certain cases) renewable for up to 180 days per yr and you NEED to show your return ticket

Hello guys,

I would like to meet some Polish people who living here in Mauritius. Here is my email adress: ania.olchawa@gmail.com . It would be nice to make any friendship.

Hello Aniu,
Before i came to Mauritius first time i had just the same problem. But finally i took with myself bank statement (it doesn't have to be yours, can be a statement a person who will look after you here), i also had invitation letter from my fiance saying that he will take care of me during my stay here (including place to stay, phone number and email as well), you also NEED a return ticket if you coming as a tourist, its the most important thing. Airport officers will check it for sure.
Without visa you can stay here 90 days (3 months). I think every 6 months.
If you need any help let me know Ania

Hi
My name is Rafal and me and my family moving soon to Mauritius.
My wife is holder of mauritius passport so we shouldn't have problem with recidency I think.
We have a daughter as well. She is 4 now and just started reception in english school in uk.
We will look for school for her.
Can someone help me decide which school to apply to.
I don't mind sending her to government school but maybe some polish blogers have different opinions and would share they opinion and expirience with me.
We probably will move around july just to make sure that our daughter will be fine. She just settle down well at her school and don't want put her through unnecessary stress.
Place we will be living is around Notre Dame and hope I could find good school for her there.
Then of course would like meet all polish bloger on the island to keep in touch.
I have been there 4 times already.
By the way is there a polish shop or polish church or prist or any polish place when we could meet.
Thanks
Rafal
Hello Rafał,
Not far from you there is an international primary school, but i think its paid. I will ask my husbands cousine where it is exactly as shes teaching there. As i know school working as European schools and have holidays same time.
About polish people: on island there is a very nice Polish Priest in St Julien. You can meet plenty of polish people around the island as well, who organize polish meetings. You can also look for facebook funpage: Polish People Mauritius where you will get all kinds of news about meetings or you will be able to exchange experience.
Kind Regards.
Ania
Thanks Ania.
I will try to contact that school.
I have been there four times but didn't met any polish people so I am more than happy to hear about polish meetings.
I would like ask u more questions.
Whats the best way to do it?
Thanks
Hello Rafał,
I asked my husbands cousine about school where shes working and it's Northfields but as i said this one is privite and about 12km far from place where you will live. I'm also sure in a place you will live they have school as well.
If you have more questions you can ask here or in a private msg or fb funpage which i mentioned before. Its the easiest way to know more and meet some Polish people there.
Kind regards.
Ania
