Buying property in Cameroon

Christine

Hi,

can a foreigner buy property in Cameroon?

If so, is it complicated? What is the process of purchasing a property in Cameroon?

Any tips for buying property, such as a check-list of items to verify ?

Thanks in advance for participating!

Christine

i do believe you have to first get in touch with a real estate agent to help you find a suitable property, once this part is done you will have to verify the ownership of the property in question thru a notary who will make sure that the property legally belong to the owner. and from there proceed with the agreement between you and the seller

First of all you have to get in contact with an estate agent to aid you get what you want then you can go ahead to verify ownership title. If okay don't pay online.send an agent to verify physical availability of the property because there are many guys out there who can go as far as showing documents for what doesn't really exist. If ok,then follow procedures if price is okay.I think the best way to buy something in Cameroon is to first of all come here and buy it face to face to avoid scams.
