Clearance sale - The Family Bookshop is closing shop

It is truly a sad day.

Yesterday I learnt that the family bookshop, from whence i purchased my first ever book, a garfield novel entitled "does pooky need you", is finally succumbing to the difficult times and closing shop, it was the last shop left standing after 80% of that block in old salmiya was evicted, by hook or by crook.

They are having a clearance sale on all their books, deeply deeply discounted.

I implore, no, i beseech any of you who, like me, were (born and) raised in Kuwait, with a sentimental memory of the family bookshop to share it with the proprietor, a kind hearted, elderly man by the name of J. Sanhi.

They are open until 9pm. They are located in old Salmiya, across the street from Sports Corner, the same side of Salmiya where X-cite electronics, LG, BHS and Mother care are.

the exact address is mentioned above man; sale is on till end of the year, where they hand over the keys.

i cant describe it any better, old salmiya, the huge, empty parking lot next to red tag. if u keep marina mall to your right and head down that street, u get to a traffic light, if u take a right u go to the gulf road, keep heading straight, u cross taht intersection, with the giant empty area on ur right with high metallic walls and u find sports corner, blue and yellow sign, look across to the other side from that and u will see the family bookshop.
