hi
does anyone know if you can listen to the world service on a normal fm or mw radio in Riyadh?
if so what is the freq

Hi,

the only two international channels I got are NPR and AFN, but only in the city center.

Get yourself an Internetradio (Hardware) like the Philips NP3900/12. I receive German, Dutch, English, French, Spanish channels from all over the planet. Quite nice to listen to a radio station that you used to hear in a country you lived before.

But don't forget about web radio!! With good external speakers, the sound is superior to a radio.

I like shoutcast.com, from which you can select any type of music you like (right now I'm listening to 181FM, The Eagle Classic Rock--Angie, by the Rolling Stones!). There are channels from all over the world here. But if your favorite isn't, try googling it to see if they do a web broadcast.
