Cost of Living in Riadh

Post new topic

Gea

Dear All,

I got an offer for a job in Riyadh, and i'm planning to move there in about 5months from now, but before i finalize the offer i need your help to know a couple of things regarding the cost of living in Riyadh.

What i'm mostly interested in knowing is the cost of accommodation, specially in a compound, how the rent is paid, what does it include, what monthly average should i expect, and any additional information you can provide me with would be much appreciated.

I also would like to know, from those of you who already are living there, what to ask for from my hiring company regarding the accommodation and relocation.

Thank you

Gea

things here are expensive, dont be fooled by the outset, you save money on tax and accomodation but the food is not cheap!

stick to the chicken if you eat meat, you cant go wrong and the fresh veg or you could be in sitting on the bog for days!

When the same questions are repeatedly asked, they've been made into topics.  May I suggest you check out
this link regarding cost of living.

Best of luck.

living in a compound can range from 45k up to 300k a year
depending on the amenities (pool, gym, playgrounds and a market)
rent can either be paid in 2 installments or in full.

about the relocation u can ask for 5000$ ...and that will do for the furniture of a small apartment.some compounds provide semi furnitured units.
try looking for vacant units in compounds from now...cuz they ve very long waiting lists.

good luck
