Considering moving to Texas

Post new topic

indy2012

Hello everyone, my husband and I have been considering moving out of the midwest to escape all those hard winter weather days! Texas has been a consideration for a few years...and now its time to make a move!  We are ready move this year, but wondering just like many others I'm sure...what Texas holds for our family.  Will we be able to find affordable housing? Rent, rent to own, or buy are questions floating through our minds.  Will we find good schooling for our kids?  Live in a child friendly neighborhood that promotes playing together.  Find shopping close to home or travel far for the mall and a corner grocery store?  These are just a few questions on our minds among other ones.  PLEASE HELP US!!!

Sincerely,

worried about moving...indy2012

Hi! I never lived in Texas but I have in the US. I heard from a few friends that used to live there they had to move away due to no jobs but I have other friends that live there and they seem to be fine but then again they are college graduates with great paying positions over  100k annually...one thing is Texas is a friendly state. I always suggest to move to a near major city so there's  always jobs available but live in the suburb so rent is cheaper and you get more living space and less crime rate.If you have saving now is the time to buy due to the recession but I would move for at least 6 months to the area before purchasing so you can get a feel of the area. Follow your heart you only live once in life is too short.I have moved too many times in my life, if it don't work out at least you know but when there's a will there's a power.May all your dreams and wishes come true in 2012!! Good Luck!
