hi everyone,
i got a job offer in ABu dhabi Khalifa street. The pay they are offering is: 7150AED, Incentive 2500AED(if targets completed).
Traveling to and fro to work place:borne by me
Accomadation: Borne by me.
im from india with 3.5 yrs exp in Sales.
I have got mixed reviews from cousins who say that Abu dhabi is very expensive and i wont be able to enjoy coz of it.
1.is it true that i will have to pay 3months rent in advance?(coz how will i manage that)
2. if on sharing basis i have to pay 2000aed then water and electricity bill would be extra?if yes around how much?
3.in 2000AED would i get furnished apts?
4. is it possible i can take up this job and then after coming there change?
5. is the salary offered good enough for my 3.5yrs exp in india sales .
thanks in advance!!!

Shil,

Your cousins are right.

1) very likely true.
2) yes.
3)probably not.
4)your sponsoring employer can put a ban on you if you leave and even though recent changes in law make this less of a problem, getting a No Objection Letter from your sponsor can be problematic.
5) no, but unfortunately people in the UAE are often desperate enough to accept lower salaries than the job is worth and as a result, employers offer lower salaries to candidates, especially those coming from South Asian countries.

Dubai is cheaper (at least in terms of housing), if that's any consolation.
