I just wanted to say hello to the new community!

I'm new to Sweden and looking forward everything at this point. I have especially found a new comfort in learning about so many new countries through the eyes of other expats experiencing the world for the first time!

I got married to a Swede and moved from NYC to Southern Sweden about a month and a half ago. I just went to sign up for SFI (Swedish for Immigrants)today and should be starting in March. Learning the language will tear down a huge barrier.

In the meantime I write a blog about being here, the culture and traditions but especially the differences and my experiences. So far that is my outlet for socializing and networking.

Do many people here have blogs as well? or are the forums used more?

true, language plays a huge role, but also study the mannerisms and culture - no use knowing the language if u commit a grievous faux pas
