Street cats aren't vaccinated; this is why they are often so sickly.

koreans!

That really hurts to see those animals trying to survive especially in summer.

In some cases, some poor cats are thrown outside houses/cars by their owners, after they get bored with them which I did witness a couple of times in Jubail.

Hi All ;

There are many cats indeed and they are living every where..  those who live in the blocks are OK.. but near highways and busy streets get run over unfortunately..  by the way there is not such organization for animals as far as i know.. it's just individuals efforts

Mahatma Ghandi said, "A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members."

The weakest members of a society are children, women, the handicapped, animals.

How does Saudi Arabia fare in its treatment of its weakest members?  Think about it.

Cats are not receiving any vaccination as they are not considered as pets here. Cats die here because they get passed over by speeding cars or they are too fatty to across the streets fast and safe enough as they eat a lot of meet from the street garbage bins that is full of people food leftovers.

It gives too much cats in saudi arabia ...
the cats to proliferate inadvertent

And there are a lot of  medical condition
and other thinks... :-(  (FIP, Cats-Flu ...)

the peopel here buy a cat whe they is small .. than the cat becomes big and the peopel let them to the street

there is no one who stop the population ......

and it is normal that cat who are ill will die :-(
this is the nature only the strongest animail will be longer on live,...

Alliecat , I like your style of writing. I searched in your profile and read lots of your writing.
I like it sooo much...

I think you address Saudi people ^_^
I am a saudi and let me try to answer:

weakest members have their rights in Islam and in our country.
You said [weakest member] and one of them [women]:that's mean you are agree that women are weaker than men.
So Allah asks ladies to cover their body with Abaya to avoid any bad event.
On the other hand, She has all his right as man even in heritage.

Children also has their own treatment. According to our country, which paced its rules on Islamic sources. New babies should be named a nice name and in his 1 month thier parent should make a banquet and let his relative Know him. And so on.

The animals also have many versus in Quran or Hadeath[profet's says]
that told to be kid with animals.
One of the prophet's says which we memorize from early age[ one woman will be in heaven because she saw a thirsty dog , and she found nothing to give it water, then she take off her shoes and full it  with water and let him drink]

and many many many ...

We have rules but MAYBE we don't stick to it.

The cat in the streets are free..
What can we do.

The death is the ending of life... That's it.

People ! I'm confused, what are you trying to say?

I'll be glad to help any kind of animals or human being if I see him facing a trouble.

It's a part of our religion and human nature

But If I saw any animals had a nature death, do I have to cry and hit my head to find away for avoiding nature deaths.

As I said, I'm confused

Gimme a light!

Thanks for the kind words, blue-rose111.  If you've read my writing, then you know that  I generally like Saudi people a lot
and I know from my Saudi friends that what is written in the Q'uran about the way people should act isn't always how they do act (the same can be said about the Bible and Christians).

However, when I said 'weakest members' and included women, it isn't that women are weaker--it's that KSA is a partiarchal society and women aren't allowed to have any power (even over themselves).  This is what makes them 'weak' -- it's a politically inforced weakness.

I agree Alliecat.
all what you said are correct.

I feel as asaudi woman that I have all my right.
I am talking seriously.

I have my job. I have my money. I can go to any known place any time.
About driving, always I say I live as a queen. She has her own driver.

Lets chang the speaking about cats and talk about women. hahaha

Thanks all.
