Hello everyone,
Just joined and am looking for any and all info I can get on relocating to Belize from Canada.
We are planning on driving, but am a little uncertain about traveling through Mexico and even about having a vehicle in Belize.
I also have dogs, and would love to hear from anyone that knows about vet services and pet foods available there.

Rental places and market/food info, would be helpful too.

Basically anything you might think is relevant to moving to Belize would be an asset.

Thanks In Advance!

Happy to meet you all :)

Christine

Hello, my name is Bill Post II. I see your blog, I am not sure about the trip to drive it to Belize, but buses go there. I was looking for a property on the coast of Belize that I could buy into, and one was available in the town of Dangriga, it is about 2/3 south of the northern border, the price was only 3500 dollars for a plot sized 60x100. I think this is a very fair deal, especially since it is located 2 miles from the coast. Take a look on google maps to see this town. I know it must be very nice weather. And to think it is within walking distance to city center and the ocean is great. If I had this small amount of money I would definitely buy a property like the one I found. The great thing about this idea is that I would be able to welcome anyone to where I was if I was there to work the property, as there is no building yet, I would put a small storage building up in no time, 1 month and it would have room for 3 maybe 4 people to sleep, dogs would have to sleep in another part. They could own a small portioned off area for there cultural habits of course. I would like a reply, let me know your reasoning one way or the other for this Idea. I also have a vihicle a chevy truck and I wish i could drive down but it might be better to have a person who was willing to drive in another car with you to make it more safe in case you needed help, then that would be best for your idea of traveling. B.P.II PS. my Expat.com is barranquillawhenwherehow.
