Surabaya !

Abdel

Surabaya is the capital of East Java province and the second largest city in Indonesia with the inhabitant approximately 3 million Peoples.

This is what everybody read in the net when we talk about Surabaya, so I was wondering -as it's the 2nd biggest city- if we ever talk about it in the forum?

Is anybody living there?

How life is there?

How much it cost to live there?

Terima kasih banyak !

Hi Abdel, Im already at Surabaya now, just arrived here last nite.
I live in Jakarta but Im going to Surabaya for a work interview.
After 5 years stick with crowded Jakarta I think I need new atmosphere.
Surabaya is a metropolitan City, but not as megapolitan as Jakarta.
The weather is warm, you can find any departement stores and restaurants as well as in big city.
There are many old buildings, the street is clean, many culinary stall along the street.
I think this city is suiteable for those who wants to live in  metropolitan city with friendly athmosphere.

I appreciate that. I would want to know the average salary for a good standard living in Surabaya, and what's about the rent?

It's good to start a new life in a new atmosphere. Good luck and thank you so much again.
