Vacation

After ten years of hard work, I plan to have a grand vacation and I choose Asia. I have never been in this part of the world. One of the places, I choose to visit is Philippines. I've heard so much about your beaches and the hospitality of the Filipino people. However, due to budget constraint, I could only afford to go to few places there. I have searched the internet and the marketing and promotions of the different resorts claim they would always be the best. makes it more confusing. I would appreciate for any recommendations you can give me. thank you.

i heard palawan and borocay are good places to go to. i am torn between these two places.

thank you, glen for your time.:)

okay palawan is a good place if you are into deep sea diving, and the place is not yet that exploited. meaning there are not to many people going there..
boracay well its white sand and nice sea but full of people depending on the time of year you visit..
if you would want to meet a lot of people go to boracay
if you would want a peacefull and quiet vacation go to palawan
so take your pick..hope i was able to help.. :)

Meg,

Palawan & nearly any other area in the Philippines is a great destination but I would argue that you consider the Cebu area especially Cebu City with its multi-level shopping centers, relaxing pace & lifestyle, history sites such as the Santo Nino Basillca, Magellan's cross, Magellan's Battle Park, Taoist temple & half-mile replica of China's Great Wall, the reef diving & resorts, and much more, including nearby Chocolate Hills nature preserve in Bohol & historical sites in Leyte.

I hope this will give you more to consider in your plans. Enjoy your vacation.

Hi Angelo,

Thank you for your recommendation. I am also interested to see historical places. Might consider Cebu as one of my destinations in the Philippines. I hope it is within my budget. I think I have to extend my stay in the Philippines.
Once again, thank you.:)

Cheers,
Meg
