Saudi / America or Japan Spec

aerozs

Hi all,

I just stay in Saudi for couple of month. Right now I'm seeking for a car, probably SUV because of driving attitiude here so need to find a big car for a safety reason

I'm plan just to take used car. WHich one is better, either saudi car or imported from Japan or America spec. I already go to Dammam Auction Car and a huge of car imported especially from America is there.

My coice either to take Edge, Explorer, Tahoe, Murano, RX-350, CX9 or better take new Tucson. Any suggestion to me? My expected under SAR80k. Thanks all.

Such cars come from 2 main places.

1- Japan: Better to go for them
2- USA and Canada: Used cars imported from USA and Canada need to be checked from the bottom side & engines as well. Cars from the cold areas of US and entire Canada, the bottom of the car is usually desperately rusted coz of the weather conditions.

To be on the safe side, always take a reliable mechanic along and let him check the car thoroughly.

Japanese cars are the best bet for resale, low on maintenance and high milage... Oh i forgot I'm in KSA and Gas is pretty cheap !! Enjoy Driving.....:)

Though Siamans has a preference for the pajero, I personally know a person who has one and who faces problems of one kind or the other every few months. and yeah he bought it new just over 3 years ago.

but then there are a quite a few japanese 4X4s.. Nissan Pathfinder, Mazda CX9 and the CX7, Infinity FX for the top range. Murano as well.
toyotas I agree are a bit spartan in the interiors, but then they do have the best resale value (if that matters to you) and also lower on maintenance.

Cheers!

I Own it and it hasnt given me any sort of troubles ( Though only for 2 months) and My brit colleague who was the previous owner also didnt had any trobules.

At the end it boils down to, how you maintain your car !! :)
