Subway trip time from Lawrence East Station to St George Station

Post new topic

Question in the topic.  I will be moving into Scarborough, but I want to live with someone who will be attending U of T, and I was wondering what the commute time would be like by subway.

Any help would be appreciated!

hi rafael,

if you're referring to what we call "lawrence" station, (as there isn't one called "lawrence east" although there is one called "lawrence west"), then the commute time from lawrence to st. george during rush hour (anywhere from 7:45 to 9:00 am) can take 30 to 45 mins.

you have to go south to bloor (6 stops), then transfer west (2 stops) to st. george.

our subway system can't keep up with the capacity of riders so there are almost daily issues with "signal problems", jammed pack subway trains, and occasionally ill patrons or mechanical problems. it's an aging system so that explains the variance in time.

hope that helps.
