Hi,
maybe you should ask your question in the Chile forum!  ;)

Jo Ann

I just moved the discussion to the Chile forum :-)

Hi,
I live down in the centro near Lastaria.  I can't tell you much about Las Condes as I generally try to avoid going out there.  I assume there is sushi and tango and whatnot.  If you are interested in private classes, you might write my teacher Viviana:
vivianamartinelli@gmail.com
She is good and charges about 12 luca (12,000) for a hour or an hour and a half.  IF you write her, cc me (cmmullins1s@yahoo.com) and I will make sure she understands your email.  She doesn't speak English, but when I started with her about 3 years ago, I didn't speak any Spanish.  I started at a school in Bellavista called Tandem and then decided I would be better off just paying Viviana for private classes.
You can find gringos everywhere but the California Cantina over by metro Pedro Valdivia is crawling with them.
best of luck,
c
