Going out in Berlin - I would like to meet new people

it's probably not a good place to meet new people but i love "schwarzes cafe" (kantstr. near U/S Zoo). They have the largest cocktail menu I have ever seen!!! it's in a touristy area, so more expensive as places in lets say wedding, but i go there every time i am in berlin (about twice a year).
the best way to meet people in germany (in my opinion at least) is by joining a sport club. and you usually go out for drinks after practise 
(at least my team did that almost every friday night)
