How to quickly get in and learn malaya? Appreciate inputs from expats who moved and now learnt the zeal of it.

Hi Brickfields YMCA run courses. But issue is hard to practice Malay as so many prefer english - KL is dominated by Chinese who generally only learnt Malay as they had to and never use it unless forced. Also many these days are avoiding learning it. Indians similarly don't use it and therefore Malay is most useful in the kampungs. Most working in restaurants are Bangladeshi as well so they prefer English. The most useful aspect is learning how to read it for official forms

And don't watch Malay soap operas to learn listening skills as your brain will explode once you realize what the story line is about  lol
