hey shawki,

st catharines is a small city but is close to niagara falls, buffalo (u.s.) and about an hour outside of toronto.

it has a really nice small feel to it and may suit you for a first stop in canada.

toronto is a great city and we're very diverse but life can be lonely here for newcomers as most say torontonians are not friendly (at least not a first).

so i hope you enjoy st catharine's and brock university.

here's a couple websites for the city:

stcatharines.ca/en/

tourismstcatharines.ca/

stcatharines.kijiji.ca/?kwd=Kijiji
http://niagara.en.craigslist.ca/
(the above two sites may give you leads on apts/rooms for rent)

cheers,

HBBailey
