Helps u in Gulf Countries

Post new topic

Dear All expats in Gulf area.
please note that I spent more than two years in Emirates, and I think I can give few advises about living in UAE or gulf any way.
1. you must speak English very good, as the first required language is the english. then arabic.
2. you should learn how to drive and get a driving license, as it is like a bachelor degree in Emirates :) I am joking, it is just very hard to get a taxi.
3. try to do your best in work, as u can be easily promoted. (not always)
4. do not drink & drive cause this is too dangerous (specially in Emirates)

I hope this will help the expats that are going to Gulf countries.

Thanks,

Amro

Hi Amro,
Good advice as a starting point. I like your comment about the driving license btw :lol:

Just to add to your points ;
>Be able to put up with the heat in the summer although, cars, apartments and malls are air conditioned, which helps.
>Must be able to adapt with the surroundings around you and the way of life in the Middle East.

Hope this helps. :)
