Hi,
You need a car to exploer the city. Sure you find a place you may like it. Otherwise, You can fly to Jeddah for weekend. The tickets about SR 400 round trip.

I'm sure he can't afford to spend every weekend in Jeddah.

Here's the thing, Eih:  you have to become self-dependent.  Develop new interests, hobbies.  Take some online courses; buy some books; take up photography; learn to plan a musical instrument; blah blah blah.

In Saudia, social outlets are limited.  You have to be able to entertain yourself.

Best of luck!

Yeah?  Well if there's so much to do, why are you hanging out in an expat forum trying to get invited to parties?  Huh? Huh? :P
