Hello everyone,
I'm about to move from NYC to KL with my husband, 2kids and beloved black lab.
We are all very happy!
I really need some help to find a temporary place where we can all stay, my dog included until I find the right house.
With my online research I haven't found anything that allows my dog in.
He is the cutest, sweetest 13-1/2 black lab.
He has to stay one week in quarantine and after that I'll bring him home.
But where? please help!
Anything would be fine for us a temporary apartment/house/condo for a month or so, please if anyone knows.
thank you very much indeed.

kind regards,
Alessandra

Hey Alebet.
Im not sure if Dog allowed in any condo or not! But I suggest you to look for a Villa or a house instead of a flat. If you looking for less than one month the price will be very high!
Today I will Ask from our Condo Manager that if they allow dog or not! if they allow i know one agent that will rent a unit full furnished with new things for 1-2 weeks.
and also you can check this website:
http://www.iproperty.com.my/
click on Property for rent from left of search field and then narrow your search with options!

thank you Amirsa!

yourwelcome alebet. sadly he said its not allowed here... sorry.
I reed this somewhere:
Rearing of dogs in residential properties is governed by the by laws enacted by the respective local authorities. Since I stay in KL, DBKL has jurisdiction over such matter.

If you look at the bylaws of KL (I would think the by laws for Mont Kiara is similar - you should check this out)- residents of properties with strata title (which means condominium, flats etc) are not allowed to rear dogs on such premises. And this is also reinforced via the individual house rules of each condo. But such rules are normally not followed by residents and it also subject to the enforcement of such rules by the management of a condo.

I saw that the law about pets are very strict. but i found out these hotels that may let you bring in your dog:
please double check with hotel & im don't have any info about quality of hotels.

Hello Alebet,

It has been a while since the last post. I hope that you found a dog friendly accommodation and all your familly settled down in Malaysia.

I am looking for a temporary accommodation with a small dog in Malaysia when moving from Europe. So, I would be grateful if you could give some advice from your experience.

Have a good day !
