it is found in the shops together with sugar, flour, etc. Is it for humans? why animal? how to cook it and eat it?

Libyan friend tells me its made from barley. It's called "Loes" or something similar. It doesn't normally need cooking and is mixed with olive oil and other ingredients to make soup/sauce and other dishes. I tasted one such sauce which was quite sweet tasting.

we call it bsasa old Libyan tradition food its made from barley,wheat,Fenugreek,hims,Soybean,coriander seeds,Bay leaves,Rosemary,sweet Cumin and Turmeric all these seeds cooked on dry  to make dish mixed with olive oil to make it paste and add all kind of nuts and dates Fruit all these ingredients healthy to body  enjoy this delicious meal some people void this meal because odor of Fenugreek

Hello Palachakh, It called Basisa, just take some from it and mixed it with olive oil..... its great

regarding the first picture its not bsisa it says sahlab on it ... this is a hot drink its very healthy and full of calcuim they says its good for the bones... mix 1 tablespoon of sahlab with one cup of cold water add sugar as you like and let it boil while stiring continously ...when ready top it off with some cinamon and cruched nuts for an extra taste
