Hi everyone. I am going to be volunteering in Costa Rica for the month of April. I will be staying with a host family and working at La Marina wildlife sanctuary. I did not go through any volunteer companies to get set up, I contacted the sanctuary directly. Is it a bad idea to skip the middle man? Also if anyone has any tips or suggestions I'd be greatful to hear them! Oh, and should I, a single woman, feel safe traveling alone around the country?
