Hi Lapush, i'm from malaysia, to start off, Midvalley one of the biggest shopping centre located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. the MIdvalley KTM train station is just located beside it. the reason i am saying this is because the cost of living in the heart of Kuala Lumpur is a little high. this also means that renting an apartment or house in the area is really costly and expensive which would range between rm1500 onwards. i would sugges staying a little futher from the town centre to get cheaper accomodations. my suggestion would be to rent an apartment in "Bukit Jalil" there are many apartments for rent there because there are 3 universities located nearby, therefore the price is mainly catered to students. i stayed in an apartment called "Arena Green". it was a 2 room 1 bathroom apartment. it cost rm800 per month. that was in 2008. whether the price has increased i am not so sure.

as for transport, the Bukit Jalil LRT station is just located infront of the apartment. walking from the apartment to the LRT station take only about 5 minutes. from there you take the train to "bandar tasik selatan" which is just 2 train stops away and takes about 5 minutes. at "Bandar Tasik selatan" u change to another train which stops at "Midvalley".
