TV channels and options

We are about to set up Melita in our new apartment for internet and telephone. We were considering cable with them but to be honest the channels are pretty bad. Do any of you have cable through Melita or GO or do you all just download your programmes and movies? I have looked at all the channels offered and there is only a handful of channels I would actually watch and to get them I would have to purchase the medium package for 20EUR per month. I take it there is no word of SKY ever coming here in the near future?

Thanks

SHS in Sweige has UKTV boxes that work well on a good internet connection make sure you do speed tests at diferent times of he day. They can advise on speedtests. You also need the higher Melita connection with unlimited download, It is just like watching freeview in UK, there is well over 100 brits using the service right now, cost £50 for box and £15 per month.

there is also the option of using a linux equivalent satellite box with a satellite dish and a 20e per month subscription..clearly you have to buy the equipment (about 450-550euro) and the initial expense but i think its worth it for full sky italy uk germany, uk bbc1  itv1 2 3 4 all in hd. also ch 4 and 5 plus all the variants. and superb quality. i can spea o fthis as i have it and find it suits my needs...

I dont mean any disrespect to the internet boxes and iptv but found that it didnt suit my requirements and the quality of picture didnt suit my requirements,
