Does anyone know of a company that rents out storage space to store furniture or boxes in?

I don't know of any sorry. However, if you put a "Storage Required" on the notice board at Au Bon Marche supermarket, some kind ex-pat may allow you to leave them with him/her. Had our house been finished, you could have left them in our garage, assuming, of course there weren't dozens of boxes :-) :-)
