Hi, I am still contemplating on whether to visit russia or not.  I have read of not so good things about the country and this discourages me.  I hope to get more info about life in Moscow and how is it like for an asian like me to stay there.

Christine

Just at the first of the year there was a lady from Cavite? (spelling) in the Philippines with my school, her contract ended and she went home, but she loved it here, never had any problems or trouble.  Just like any foreign traveler any where in the world, you have to be careful and always aware of whats going on and who's around you, but this racism is way over blown, Moscow is one of the top tourist spots for Asians now, Chinese, Japanese especially come here.

Hi there. I have been living here in Moscow, Russia for 2 years now with my husband. We had a chance to visit St. Petersburg last spring and I was fascinated by its beauty and history. It is like a city of museums. It is cheaper than here in Moscow (but is still expensive against any other countries).
You might complain about the weather in St. Petersburg, and you would have good reason to, especially during winter. Seemingly endless nights, dull twilit days which are over in a flash, and a constant barrage of snow, sleet and ice - not to mention temperatures deep into the minus numbers. Yes the weather in St. Petersburg can get damn unfriendly!
