Looking for a place in KL (around 30 minutes to Raja Laut)

Hi,

We are moving to KL this month, and still does not have a clue about where to find a good place to stay.

My office will be at Wisma Sime Darby, Raja Laut, and I am looking for a house/apartment within 30 minutes travel time (preferably by LRT). My wife prefer a house with 2-3 bedroom since we have two young children (age 2 and 3) but the most important is of course the place should be near school, supermarket, hospital, etc.

The budget is around RM2,500/month. She personally like Desa Park City, any pros and cons that can be shared? I heard Bangsar also a good option and my friend is recommending Titiwangsa. How long is travel time from these places to my office?

How is the usual renting arrangement? do we need to pay a year in advance, 6 months? or how?

any suggestion for living cost (groceries, eating out, electricity, water, internet, gasoline, etc)?

Hope I'm not asking too much. Any help is much appreciated.
